Roasting, toasting

Essentially different from drum or hot-air systems, as continuous transport and stirring in a closed spiral tube is achieved by vibration. Roasting is achieved by direct contact with the stainless steel tube wall, with the possibility of additional hot air injection.

Main features :

Continuous and fully automated process:
Perfectly even roasting and very good homogeneity ensured by vibro-fluidised operation with the possibility of creating an extra roasted flavor by roasting the product in its own steam in a confined environment. Very fine handling, no stirrers or other moving parts, even fragile nuts such as cashews or peanuts are not damaged and the almond skin remains intact. Heat treatment in a closed environment, temperature and run time can be precisely controlled, allowing a wide range of color and flavor to be developed.

A wide range of products can be roasted or toasted (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, wheat, etc...)

Thanks to the unique configuration, pasteurization of the product can be ensured during roasting. This allows the elimination of all pathogens: salmonella, E-coli, coliform, yeasts, molds, and a great reduction in the total bacterial count.

The product can be flavored during heat treatment by injecting salt water or liquid flavoring. The vibrations ensure perfect mixing, thus achieving perfect homogeneity during flavoring.
